  • Why is my video playback stuttering?
When a video begins to stutter, it's usually the result of your computer not having enough power or free resources to play video. Additionally, it could be because your internet connection is too slow. We understand you might have a high-speed connection to your house, but if your using a crowded wi-fi network, that can still cause buffering on your computer or device.

    Bandwidth Problems

If you are experiencing both an audio and video stutter during playback on EPIX.com, the most likely cause is an issue with your internet connection. You may need to quit other programs that may be using the Internet and make sure no one else is hogging your internet connection and give it a shot again. If you've still got a slow internet connection, you probably need to call your Internet Service Provider.

    Computer Problems

If you're seeing video playback stutter, especially in full screen playback, you're probably out of memory or have maxed-out your CPU. Try freeing up memory by quitting other programs. If you still see stutter in full screen, but not when the video is small in the web page, then your CPU is not powerful enough to play video in full screen... and it's probably time for an upgrade.

Of course, these are only guidelines and it may be best to seek professional PC support help and not rely on a frantically assembled FAQ.
