Peter Lops is CFO, MGM+, where he oversees all aspects of the network’s financial operations. Prior to joining EPIX in 2019, Peter was the CFO of Sequential Brands Group,(Nasdaq: SQBG) a publicly held licensing and brand management company that a portfolio of consumer brands, including Martha Stewart, And1 basketball and Avia active wear.Peter wasa member of the executive team and responsible for all financial operations, investor relations, lender relationships, mitigating key elements of the company’s risk profile and reporting results to the Board of Directors.Peter worked closely with CEO and Board on business development and strategic issues.
Prior to Sequential, Peter was the Chief Operating Officer for Viacom’s Distribution and Business Development (“DBD) group for nearly a decade.His experience with TV distribution, deal analysis and improving department results made him an ideal fit to join the DBD group. He first joined as the SeniorVice President of Finance and he was soon promoted to Chief Operating Officer. As COO, he was responsible for the centralized deal team, deal analysis and modeling, most favored nations compliance, monthly results, budgeting and forecasting, business operations and administrative/HR responsibilities.
Prior to Viacom, Peter worked for the FOX Television Stations Group and the National Football League. At FOX, Peter was the Vice President for a start-up television network and established the finance department. Peter spent 9 years at the NFL and held several leadership roles –Controller, Vice President of Finance for the Media and International divisions, Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis. While at the NFL, he helped develop and launch the NFL Network and NFL Sunday Ticket.
Before joining the NFL, Peter was a Manager at Arthur Andersen LLP in the New York and Sydney offices and specialized in clients in the media and entertainment industry.
Peter received a BA in Economics from Lafayette College. He resides in Ridgewood, NJ with his with wife Kathy.
